Aliki's Art House is offering drawing lessons for 5-6 year olds.
Each student will be supplied with materials needed, and taught the foundational skill of drawing using a sequential 7-step system that makes drawing fun and easy. In a few short lessons, your child will confidently say, "I Can Draw!"
Learning how to draw is recommended for all students, not just those who are perceived as 'talented'. Drawing specifically helps with focus, hand-eye coordination, math skills, self-esteem, creative writing, handwriting, problem solving and gives children an overall sense of well-being. Creating art is highly therapeutic both physically and emotionally.
Aliki has been an art educator since 1985. She has taught in a variety of settings including preschools; classrooms (private and public); community, juvenile detention, and senior centres, as well as private functions. Aliki has also taught a wide variety of ages and abilities from ages 4-84. She has worked with many school systems and has been a consultant and advisor to teachers, principals and school boards. She has taught workshops in both Canada and overseas. Aliki's practical methodology takes the mystery out of drawing and helps anyone learn how to draw.
