I have been a photographer for over 30 years and I have designed a course for the absolute novice
to the person who enjoys photography and has the desire to advance further in their photography!!
I have some times now available on the weekends for teaching Photography.
Are you interested in learning what your digital camera can do?Then allow me to teach you how to use this amazing piece of visual equipment! Do you want to move beyond the simple point and shoot style of photography to more of a professional, creative style in your photography? I can show you how amazing your camera really is and what you can do with it like a professional photographer would do and create art! Also I will teach you how to tap into your artistic, creative side as well as your technical side, and have fun doing it! Learn how to shoot under all conditions including low light and not using the flash on your camera. To capture speeding objects like your child playing sports, or a car race or a slower speed to capture movement. Use depth of field to enhance your subject and make the subject far more personal. How to create magical images using many other various exposure settings. Learn to fully understand your camera to the degree where it becomes a powerful creative tool in your hands rather than a simple point and shoot compact camera using auto or program modes.
I am now offering private photography lessons concentrating on manual settings and a full understanding of your camera during which I will demonstrate and answer all of your questions and more. The manual settings on the camera are for those who are interested in capturing the complete essence of the subject you are looking through the lens at. Although the average digital camera can take a good photo in "program mode" but when in "manual mode" and in the hands of someone who understrands the workings of the camera you become the artist and your images will become so stunning as you capture the absolute feeling of what you are after in your subject.Photography as in art form that is manipulated through the eyes of the photograoher, so allow me to open your eyes into a new and powerful world if art via photography! My sessions includes detailed therory as well as the practical side of taking field studies together. I will adjust your camera's settings from the factory pre-set settings to new settings that will suit your personality and how you want to see your finished photos in the end. I will teach you composition so that your photos are balanced and pleasing to the eye.
I will thoroughly teach you about exopusre settings which is essentially the absolute basis of photography as well as addon accessories for your camera and what you need and what you dont, we will talk about lenses and what each one will do then move onto lighting techniques and how to light your subject without using your camera flash.
We can even get into Photoshop or Photoshop Elements 9 and Lightroom and then onto Phoromatix for HDR photography.This course is primarily for your camera and I will lightly touch into editing, but if you are interested I can teach you complete photo editing in another course.
I have worked for over 30 some years as a photographer and have a vast experience of knowledge to pass on to the student.
You can master your camera instead of letting the camera master you. Its actually easy and fun!
The cost per course is $400.00 for 4, four hour lessons. Each lesson is four hours in duration (works out to be $25.00 per hour) and we shall cover in the first lesson how to set up your camera personally for you and then I show you what it can do and here I will build up your confidence so that in your hands your camera can become a most powerful tool to capture beautiful images and then we will head outside to put all the therory to work and do a photo shoot!

The camera can be overwhelming but with a good teacher on a one to one lesson I know that you will be so very satisfied! I have taught in a regular classroom situation and many poeople get lost and are afraid to ask questions for many reasons so this course is for every one that has always desired to become a better photographer, and will get a hands on personal teacher to guide you in photography!
